I am having a display settings bug. My mouse cursor in game flashes and never stays solid, and it is frustrating to play that way. I run windows 7 64bit, and have tried running rm in XP compatibility mode with no luck

I remember this being a pretty wide-spread problem a while ago. One of the solutions to fixing it was changing the site that was linked in the launcher. If that small website on there still has the ones used in RedMoon on it, try downloading the latest patch to see if it fixes it.
There was other options that fixed it as well, but unfortunately I can't recall what they were at the moment. I'll see if I can find them, though.

Thanks scar.. but i tried downloading and installing the UD CLient patch and still have the issue . Someone said it could be due to the boards window popping up and not closing, but i click close on it. Any other suggestions?>

The only other thing I know of right now is to disable ClearType text, but I believe that was for graphical issues with in-game text only. Still, I guess it couldn't hurt to see if it helps with anything else. How to adjust ClearType: 1. Click the Start button and type "cleartype" in the search bar. 2. In the search results, click on "Adjust ClearType text". 3. If the "Turn on ClearType" box is checked on this screen, uncheck it and click "Next". If it is not checked, then I guess this is not part of the solution. 4. There will be a resolution check and four screens afterwards with text boxes on them that you are to choose based on clarity. Proceed through these until the end and click "Finish". 5. Try loading the game up again, and see if it changes anything. I don't have the blinking cursor on my laptop (same OS that you're experiencing it in), and I have ClearType off; however, I'm not sure if it contributed to fixing it. I also don't run the game in any certain compatibility modes (all boxes have no check marks) or anything like that, so other than having the latest patch files installed and the above, I'm not sure of anything else to try at the moment. I hope that something in this post helps you get it figured out, though. I know how annoying it is to try playing with that problem.

I already had it turned off, but reset it again with still no luck. Almost impossible to try and level a canon with this darn bug.

Hm... that's really all I remember from the old forums before they started acting up. I'll try to figure something out, though.
